TONY C - HAWAIIAN PASSION
In 1986 the album "Hawaiian Passion" garnered Tony C four Na Hoku Hanohano Awards of the Year, Traditional Hawaiian Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year.
In 2003, Tony C(Conjugacion) was handed the opportunity to not only re-record the material from his debut CD "Hawaiian Passion", but to do it with his original musicians as well. Joined by Jeff Rasmussen on guitar and vocals, Aunty Leila Kiaha on keyboards, and Charlie Fukuba on steel guitar. Saxophone legend Gabe Baltazar was invited to add his talent on one of the songs.

Don't let the traditional Hawaiian look of the cover graphics fool you here. This is boom box rap in the Hawaiian language. In a Hawaii island Journal review KWXX's John Burnett said this music is "meant to be played on a 10-grand car stereo at 130 decibels with max bass boost blasting Banyan Drive on a full moon Friday night."
