NA LEO PILIMEHANA - FRIENDS
It was a brilliant move by Lehua, Nalani and Angie to cover Michael W. Smith's contemporary Christian hit "Friends" and make it the title track of this recording. The song created controversy when a Honolulu high school refused to let a graduating class sing it because of its reference to God, but then relented when students threatened suit. The class ended up singing to the included karaoke version of the title track. "Friends" also won the 1995 Na Hoku Hanohano award for Single of the Year.
